Lynn Nigliazzo is founder and Artistic Director for the Galveston Ballet. She and her family moved to Galveston and began searching for quality ballet instruction for her 10 year old daughter, Caryn, who was extremely advanced. Caryn had performed with Corpus Christi Concert Ballet for four years. and wanted to advance her skills. No ballet school existed in Galveston to meet their needs.
Lynn saw a need and started Galveston Ballet in 1986, hiring a qualified instructor. In addition to being the Artistic Director and founder, Lynn is very hands-on. She and her sister Anita Evans create all the costumes, tailor, and sew to meet the needs of each dancer in each performance. Though Caryn is no longer dancing, Lynn's love and involvement in the ballet has not stopped.
She and her husband, Marc now live in Temple, where Marc is President of Texas A&M Central Texas.
